Our Story

We met  in 2006, and always had a great connection as friends over the years. After life took us in different directions, we reconnected on our friends' annual St. Patrick's Day group trip to Denver, ten years after we first met. We spent the whole weekend laughing together and knew right away that the luck of the Irish was with us, and we'd found something truly special.

He Proposed

We had planned a trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, to celebrate our first Valentine's Day together. Since Bryan would be traveling from Austin, and Courtney from LA, we planned to meet at the airport in Cancun. Little did Courtney know, Bryan had other plans.

After three days of walking around Manhattan Beach in disguise while he set everything up, Bryan called Courtney on the afternoon before she boarded her flight and asked her to walk down the street to Becker's Bakery to pick up some treats he'd ordered for the trip. Confused and wondering how a bakery box would fit  in her suitcase, Courtney walked down the stairs from her apartment, and to her surprise, Bryan was there! He dropped down on one knee and proposed and as soon as Courtney caught her breath, she said YES!!

It turned out, there really was a red velvet cake at Becker's (and Courtney's favorite champagne). Courtney's parents, her brother Chris and his girlfriend Erika, and Bryan's brother Matt and his wife Valerie, were all waiting to hear the good news and joined us for our cake and champagne celebration before we headed to the airport to travel to Playa del Carmen, together.
